OK, so the other day Ryan Anderson, Woody, and I decided to go tubing. After buying intertubes from the local Farm and Fleet we headed towards the Mackinaw River. When we got there we underestimated the amount of time it would take for us to go from our dropoff point to the bridge where we parked Woody's truck. We got in at around 5 o'clock and by 7 had reached what we approximated was around the halfway point. We decided to keep going, but soon realized that Woody had left his keys in my car (at the starting point) so we wouldn't be able to drive back to my car. We brought along a cooler with some food and drinks and put our cell phones in it. Luckily we were able to get ahold of Dan Bobbit who arrived on the scene a little after 9 o'clock, just as we were coming up on the bridge where Woody's car was parked.
In all it took us four hours to finish and we spent the last hour floating/wading through the river in the dark (surrounded by jumping fish and one gigantic horsefly that would not leave us alone), but I still had a lot of fun. Ryan and Woody might say different, but hey, I look at it as an adventure.
Keep it real,
Ben
