Blood Donor

OK, so a few days ago I was at home in Washington when the American Red Cross sent me a Blood Donor ID Card in the mail. Here's my stats:

Name: Benjamin M. Swisher

Blood Type: B Positive

Region: Heart of America

Units Lifetime: 6

My mother, a registered nurse, looked at the card and said, "Oh Ben, you've given 6 units of blood in your lifetime. That means if you get in an accident, you'll get up to 6 units free." I thought for a second and said, "Mom, I don't think that's how it works." She responded, "Oh I don't know how it works, you know what I mean though."

Registered nurse? Where'd she get registered at, the Fisher Price School of Medicine?

Keep it real,

Ben
